With this update, the Optios–Shopify integration handles deleted products more effectively, giving you more clarity and control during the synchronization of your stock and product data.
What changes?
When a product is deleted in Shopify but still exists in Optios, Optios automatically recognizes this and clearly displays it in the product module:
The product receives the status “Missing in Shopify.”
The product will no longer be synchronized while the link is broken.
In the product screen, you will see a message that the connection is broken.
You will have the option to recreate the product in Shopify.
How does restoration work?
Open the product in Optios that is missing in Shopify.
You will see the message: “This product appears to have been deleted in Shopify.”
Click on “Click here to resync this product.”
After a short time (asynchronous processing), the product will reappear in your Shopify store.
From then on, the product will once again synchronize as normal.
👉 This way, you always maintain control over your product catalog—even if products are accidentally deleted in Shopify.
Do you want to hide synchronized products from your webshop?
Then it’s best to disable their availability on your sales channels.
Go to the product in the Shopify admin.
Click on "Publishing – Manage" on the right.
On the right, under "Product status" → "Available on",
Uncheck Online Store (or any other channel where you don’t want to sell).
Click Save.
The product will remain visible in your admin, it is still synced with Optios, but it will no longer be for sale in your webshop.
Do you want to remove synchronized products from your webshop?
Then it’s best to delete them from your Optios inventory, not from Shopify.
