When using online payments via Mollie, you may want to change the linked website profile. In this article, we explain what this means and how to update it correctly.
What is a website profile in Mollie?
A website profile in Mollie is a registered domain (website) within your Mollie account — in other words, a website that Mollie has already approved.
✅ An approved website within Mollie
✅ Not a separate Mollie account
✅ Not a separate webshop (such as Shopify or WooCommerce)
When Optios processes online payments, it is always linked to a Mollie website profile. Although you can only connect one Mollie account per Optios account, this feature exists so that businesses with multiple registered websites within the same Mollie account can easily switch to another domain (for example, one that was previously approved) without having to set up the entire integration again.
The “Change website profile” button only changes which domain within your Mollie account is used for online payments. It does not create a new connection.
BUTTON | What does it do? |
Change website profile | Selects a different domain within the same Mollie account while keeping the existing connection active |
Disable | Removes the entire integration (so you need to reconnect it again) |
Checkbox “online payments active” | Temporarily disables online payments while keeping the connection active |
How do I change the website profile?
Go to Settings
Go to Online payments
Go to Choose profile
Select the desired website profile.
Confirm your selection.
The change is active immediately.
Remove the Mollie connection
Do you want to start over completely or connect a different Mollie account? In that case, you can remove the existing connection.
Go to Settings
Click Online payments
Open the active Mollie connection
Click Disable
Click Save
⚠️ What happens afterwards?
Online payments via Mollie are immediately disabled
New online payments will temporarily no longer be possible
You must set up Mollie again to reactivate payments (with new authorization)
