Connecting the Optios Pay payment terminal to your Optios cash register system is quick and easy. For this stable connection, you don’t even need cables! With Optios Pay, you can send the payment amount to the terminal from any device via the Optios cash register, not just from a PC but also from your smartphone or tablet.
Terminal Installation
Ready to use immediately!
Once you receive this payment terminal, no further action is needed to link it to your bank or activate credit cards. The terminal is ready to use. It only needs to be synchronized with the Optios cash register.
IMPORTANT ‼️
The terminal usually comes with a printed receipt. This receipt contains important information for connecting to the Optios cash register. Do not discard it immediately!
If you no longer have the receipt, you can print a new one containing the same information by performing a test payment of €0.01.
Turning the terminal on/off
To turn on the payment terminal, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds. This button is located on the left side of the terminal. Swipe up on the screen to unlock it.
Connecting to Wi-Fi
Connecting to Wi-Fi is as simple as using your smartphone!
Tap the Wi-Fi icon at the top right of the touchscreen.
Select the Wi-Fi network you want to connect to.
Enter the password/key for the Wi-Fi network and tap "Connect".
The terminal is now connected to Wi-Fi.
Charging the terminal
On the left side of the payment terminal, there is a USB-C port. Use this to charge the terminal.
Synching the terminal to the cash register
Log in to your Optios account.
Go to the settings menu.
Navigate to "Cash register settings".
Click on "Optios Pay terminals".
Enter your Sepay ID (SID) and assign a name to the device.
This SID (cash register number) can be found on the printed receipt from the terminal.

This information appears on every transaction receipt. If you no longer have the initial printed receipt, you can perform a test payment of €0.01 to print a new one with the same details.

Processing payments via the cash register
Open the cash register.
Select a receipt to process.
Choose "Bancontact" as the payment method.
Select your Optios Pay device.
Press the green payment button (bottom left) on the terminal.
The payment amount will now automatically appear on the terminal.
Let the customer make the payment.
When the payment is successful, the Optios cash register will automatically finalize the transaction.
