How should I store phone numbers in Optios so that I can send SMS messages?

To be able to send SMS messages from Optios, the phone number must be stored correctly. Incorrect or incomplete numbers may cause SMS messages not to be delivered, or even not to be sent at all.

How do I correctly store Belgian mobile phone numbers?

In Optios, we only accept Belgian mobile numbers in one of the following correct formats:

+32477123456
0032477123456
0477 12 34 56

❗ Without dashes or other symbols


What about foreign mobile phone numbers?

Always use the international format with country code, without dashes or other symbols.

👉 +Country code + number
👉 00 + country code + number

Two correct examples:

  • France: +33612345678

  • The Netherlands: 0031612345678


Are all countries supported?

Not all countries are supported for sending SMS messages via Optios. Even if a mobile phone number is stored correctly in international format, it may still not be possible to send SMS messages to certain countries.

SMS messages cannot be sent to numbers from, among others, the following countries:

  • Denmark

  • Finland

  • Greece

  • Hungary

  • Iceland

  • India

  • Malta

  • Nigeria

  • Norway

  • Romania

  • Russia

  • Slovenia

  • Czech Republic

  • United Kingdom

  • United Arab Emirates

  • South Africa

  • Sweden
