RE OPT IN EMAIL

  • 1. Legally, both you and Optios need an official agreement to mail customers (GDPR legislation). Your customers have indeed already had to give an agreement for Resengo, but we can't use that as evidence if someone ever sues you or us for illegal mailing. The fines for mismanagement around mailing are very high, up to 10% of your annual revenue, if I'm not mistaken. Therefore, for us but also for our clients, we prefer not to take risks and so we are strict.

    2. Secondly, if we mail people who have not given their consent, they will rate those mails as “spam” in their inbox. The more mails are rated that way, the more often confirmation and reminder mails will end up in the spam folder. This is inconvenient for everyone, of course, both you and your customers. Because not only for the people who designate Optios emails as Spam will the emails end up in that inbox. It also increases the chances for all other recipients of Optios emails that the mail will end up in the Spam box. Improving our email reputation as Optios is a titanic task. This is another reason why we prefer to take as few risks as possible.
